We'll come over to your property and do a personal walk around with you answering your questions and making suggestions. In short order we can cover issues like plant material, placement, and health.
Together, we can evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of your existing landscape, and come up with suggestions for the methods and steps you need to take for achieving your goals on your property. Want to take the next step?

DESIGNS This is ideal for the home owner on a strict budget, that is willing to put their own sweat equity into their property.
	I can meet with you to assess your area usage/needs and measure up your property. Then I will produce a professional, hand drawn landscape design plan, including plant material lists with both common and Latin names, a printed photo sheet showing the plant material to be used, plan views that show how the design will look from your perspective (b/c some people find visualizing things from overhead plans difficult), and slope/grade layouts.
I can even include a sectioned budget for each area of the plan so you can decide if its something you’d like to do yourself, or prefer to bring in ‘the professionals’ to handle that area.

INSTALLATIONS Ultimately, this is our preferred option. This includes a Consultation and Full Colour Design.

We then set a date and estimated completion time, and begin working towards that. We have all the tools, knowledge, and experience to accomplish the proposed job. When a design calls for elements outside our specialties, we hire experienced, top quality subcontractors (these areas include such things as irrigation systems, large decks, 120V lighting, and tree pruning involving climbing gear or bucket trucks). We protect your house and existing landscape from unnecessary damage, and clean up the job site each and every day before leaving so you are not living in a construction zone. My crew is polite, courteous, knowledgeable, and works with safety in mind.

We are not a typical maintenance company.
That is, we DO NOT cut lawns or do lawn maintenance.
Our crew is far more specialized and knowledgeable than that!

Spring	- Removal of last years perennial and leaf debris - Edging of beds to reduce lawn penetration into your garden - Mulching to reduce weed growth, reduce watering needs, add nutrients to the soil, and create a uniform aesthetically pleasing look - Pruning of summer blooming shrubs for shape, rejuvenation, and disease/pest reduction
Summer	- Spot weeding - Pruning of spring blooming shrubs and evergreens - Deadheading of perennials and annuals
Fall	- Prepare evergreens to prevent winter snow damage - Remove excessive leaves (most leaves are left to help insulate your garden beds over the winter) - General tidy up to reduce spring clean up
Winter	- The best time for Tree Pruning (they are asleep, and will not even notice…)

DRY STONE WALLING This is a highly specialized area of knowledge.

I apprenticed for 2 years in Dry Stone Walling with the Dry Stone Wall Association of Canada before becoming certified through the Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain. At present there are less than a dozen certified Dry Stone Wallers in Ontario. Dry Stone Walling is an art form, and I approach Walling jobs that way…. With the patience and eye for detail of an artisan. I’d be honoured to create a natural stone feature on your property.
